That’s a coleus. It’s an annual meant to be grown outside, not a houseplant. So it was happy to be in its ideal environment!

I had one that got killed back by frost like usual, sat in my sunlesss garage all winter with no water, and had the planter dirt and roots dumped in a wash spot in spring. I transplanted its second life so it wouldn’t get killed by mowing.

Being outside alivened it. Same thing happens to humans that never go outside … they seem dead.

Yeah that’s how plants operate. They’re never dead.

This happened with my aloe! It was DEAD. Brown and shriveled. DEAD. I put it outside on our back patio behind our patio chair and forgot about it. 6 months later I happen to see it and it’s a monster. The thing is green and huge and thriving with so many little baby aloe pups. Absolutely crazy.
